BioLove watching EPL football. Favourite player is Alan Smith, formerly of Leeds United. Now playing for Newcastle United. Why do I adore him so? He has passion, he fights for the ball...he actually cares about the game. I once saw him play against Chelsea on a cold, wet day in December. He put in three sliding tackles in about 2 minutes. By the end of the game, he was covered in mud from his ankles to his ears.
Also love watching movies and reading books, especially fantasy, but will read almost anything except romance. Favourite movie is Gladiator. Favourite TV shows are CSI and Smallville. Favourite older TV shows: Highlander & Buffy The Vampire Slayer. Have a thing about books...lots of books, all genres, all ages, prose or poetry. Especially fond of Lord of the Rings, Patrick O'Brian's Aubrey/Maturin series,Harry Potter series, Fionavar Tapestry, C.Q. Yarbro's St Germain series, Tales of the Otori among others. Love tea and chocolate.
I write bad poetry and sometimes draw. Love cats. My mind is somewhat bizarre and warped. I am easily amused. I have a beautiful daughter (and that's all I'm saying about that- don't want her figuring out that this is me). I'm definitely of age (way beyond that, actually).
I'm not crazy about most abstract art, and I think 99% of "installation art" is complete and utter crap. I think "rap music" is a contradiction in terms. Cannot abide most politicians, and I seriously wonder about the intelligence of a good many judges (most do NOT have anything like the wisdom of Solomon). I'd like to see the death penalty reinstated for mass murderers of children (or mass murderers in general), but only if there is not the slightest shadow of a doubt. I'm terrified by the grip that Monsanto has on the world's food supply and their love for G.M. foods. I'm too apathetic to do anything about it, but social injustice really upsets me.If you haven't noticed, I'm highly opinionated.
